I am honored by an endorsement by a fellow Kentuckian, Army Ranger, and career active-duty Special Operations Officer, Colonel Walter Herd, US Army Special Forces (aka a Green Beret). What makes it even more humbling is the fact that Walter and I met on the battlefields of Afghanistan over 20 years ago, on the other side of the globe from Shelby County, Kentucky. The bond formed between us transcends our military uniforms and ranks and is seared by the sacred obligation we shared as fellow warriors and leaders who defended our great nation for careers spanning three decades each. ______________________________________________________ Letter of endorsement for Captain Ed Gallrein, US Navy SEAL (Retired) The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. Proverbs 11:3. I am honored to write this letter supporting Captain Ed Gallrein, US Navy SEAL (Retired), in his race to represent Congressional District 4. I am even more excited to see a Soldier, statesman, and farmer who is so focused on helping his community and who is willing to serve yet again by stepping into The Arena that Teddy Roosevelt described so well. As a professional Soldier and retired Colonel, I know a man of character when I see one. I am a career professional military Officer, an airborne Ranger, and a Green Beret who fought in two wars and led thousands of Special Operations troops in high-risk, extreme situations across multiple continents. We were successful because of our character, integrity, and the culture of honor that came with my Regiment's troops. I met Ed Gallrein in Afghanistan over 20 years ago, in the early stages of that war, literally the other side of the globe from Kentucky. Ed was leading a Joint Task Force that included Navy SEALS and other highly specialized units, and I was leading a large force of combined (international) Special Operations Forces. I soon learned that Captain Gallrein was a man of character, integrity, honor, and determination. When Ed gave his word and made a commitment, he honored it regardless of the challenges that may arise – rest assured, that is a vital leadership characteristic in a war zone. Even in the heavy fog of war, Ed’s light was shining like a lantern on the hilltop. All good leaders face challenges and make decisions that have a lasting impact: Ed always made the right decision, regardless of distractions – because Ed has the courage and integrity to do the right thing for the right reasons. He can think, communicate, lead, and make sound decisions at lightning speed. Like a Super Bowl MVP, Ed makes good things happen for those around him and his Team. By coincidence and God’s grace, Ed and I both came home to Kentucky after active-duty careers spanning three decades, and we returned to our family farms in Shelby County. Now, I’ve gotten to know Ed in a different environment. I have found that he has that same character, integrity, and determination on the farm, in business, at church, and when working in local volunteer organizations, including supporting Veterans – his passion - that I saw in a fellow leader on the other side of the world. His SEAL and Ranger training shaped the character and determination he demonstrated in Afghanistan; however, I know he drew on his strong Christian faith and family farming background right here in Kentucky. The Gallrein Family has a history of being among the best and most respected farmers in the state for their work ethic, high character, and service to the community. We need to take advantage of his character and courage: Vote for Ed Gallrein on 19 May! 🗳️ Walter M. Herd Colonel, US Army Special Forces (Retired) Simpsonville, Kentucky

As a father and grandparent, I am appalled by what the Left is doing to our children. Our girls deserve a fair playing field, and our kids deserve to be protected, not subjected to harmful experiments. I will fight to ensure that girls' sports are reserved for girls, to stop the radical agenda targeting our children, and to stand alongside parents and grandparents—for my grandchildren and yours.

Happy National Ag Week! 🇺🇸 It is the honor of my lifetime to wake up every day and fight for the American farmer, the American rancher, and the way of life that built this country. I’m proud to stand with the men and women who rise early, stay late, and work tirelessly to feed, fuel, and clothe our nation!

I had a wonderful afternoon at the Harrison County Lincoln Day Lunch in Cynthiana, Kentucky, held at Capilla Kitchen & Cantina on Saturday. I enjoyed sharing my story and discussing my reasons for running for Congress. I am committed to fighting for safer borders, protecting the unborn, defending our freedoms, and putting an end to the woke agenda. Kentucky deserves strong leadership.

We remember the brave Service members who lived a life of service above self and gave everything for our nation. This loss is close to home as we honor Tech Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt of Bardstown, KY, was killed in a refueling aircraft crash in Iraq. We also remember Maj. Klinner, Capt. Savino, Capt. Koval, Capt. Angst and TSgt Simmons. Let’s take a moment to lift their families and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

Great time yesterday at the fish fries at St. Patrick Church in Taylor Mill, St. Cecilia in Independence, and St. Thomas in Fort Thomas. Great fish, great people, and great Northern Kentucky traditions. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make these events happen.

Great evening Thursday at Wenzel Distillery talking with Kentuckians about the issues that matter most — secure the border, end the woke agenda, protect the unborn, and defend our gun rights. Thank you to the team who put together an outstanding event and to everyone who came out to stand for Kentucky values.
