I see people asking all the time - “how does Michelle Wu win elections when it seems like the majority of people don’t like her or say that they’re against her policies?” There’s lots of people who like to say it’s because “the elections are rigged” - they’re not. Not in Boston anyway - they don’t have to be. She wins because nobody shows up to vote. 673,000 people live in Boston 438,000 Boston residents are registered to vote 95,000 Boston voters cast a ballot in this election 78,000 of those voters voted for Michelle Wu Michelle Wu was the only option on the ballot. Soooo….. 82% of the people who cast a ballot voted for her 18% of registered voters in Boston voted for her 12% of the people who live in Boston voted for her. So think of it like this: Out of every 100 people that live in Boston, only 14 people actually show up to vote, and 12 of those 14 vote for Wu…and you can probably guarantee that 10 of those 12 people are not from Boston and/or they work for Wu. And another way to look at it: 343,000 Boston residents are registered to vote but they don’t show up Only 95,000 actually show up. People love to complain online but showing up to vote 2 days a year is too much work for them. Not showing up is the same as casting a vote for the bad guy.

Massachusetts doesn’t belong to the political queens. For too long, our elected officials have acted like they own this state, raising costs, pushing people out, and ignoring everyday families. It’s time to take Massachusetts back. Beat the queens. Restore the voice of the people.

That was the beginning of the end of my mother's life since she was right above that fireball and couldn't make it out. New York City has forgotten 9/11 but we never will!

A Soldier's Whisper
A Soldier's Whisper@SoldiersWhisper·
The Eyes That Tell the True Story of Vietnam During the Vietnam War, many low-ranking GIs were just 19 years old—barely out of high school. By comparison, soldiers in World War II were on average 26. These young men faced unimaginable challenges on the battlefield, often with minimal training—both physically and mentally—to prepare for the harsh realities of war. Every day brought danger from every direction, a brutal reality far beyond what most were prepared for. Their courage and resilience in the face of such adversity deserves recognition. Take a moment to honor the young soldiers of Vietnam. #TheVietnamWar #MilitaryHistory #UnsungHeroes #HistoryFacts

Mooses Felix 🇺🇸
Mooses Felix 🇺🇸@MoosesFelix·
Bruce Springsteen has openly described himself as a "stone-cold draft dodger" from the Vietnam War era He recounted being called up for his draft physical at age 19 (he was born in September 1949, so this was around 1968–1969). He admitted to using every tactic in the "draft-dodgers textbook": acting high on LSD ("I'm sorry sir, I don't understand what you're saying because I am high on LSD"), filling out forms erratically, claiming to be gay, and generally behaving as crazily as possible Springsteen has spoken about the guilt he felt afterward. Yet he is now running "Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour". Where he is keeping all the proceeds for himself. And I think he is a billionaire. Do you think he is a "Patriot". I don't, seems like a typical hypocrite.
Mooses Felix 🇺🇸@MoosesFelix

Bruce Springsteen is not donating the proceeds (or any significant portion of net profits) from the “Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour.” He is profiting from it. It is a purely paid concert run with a political theme—no mention of donating ticket revenue, gross receipts, or profits to any charity, immigrant causes, or other organizations. No credible news reports, official statements, or tour documents indicate Springsteen is forgoing his share of earnings. (Past tours have grossed hundreds of millions; this one follows the same model.) Charity ticket packages (via TeachRock): Stevie Van Zandt (E Street Band guitarist) released a limited number of band-hold/premium tickets for every date. Fans pay extra (with a tax deduction) for better seats + lounge access; the money supports TeachRock music-education classrooms. These are fan donations, not Springsteen or the tour giving away revenue. Is this patriotism. What do you think 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
