@NPCollapse Not to mention that we need as many thoughtful, capable and reflective people as possible. Without work, we too easily drift into nihilism, depression or worse. If we want a good future, maximising the competency of society doesn’t feel like a bad start.

was speaking to one of my smartest friends yesterday. He pointed our that as the bar of execution has dropped, we now see that most ideas are actually terrible and there are indeed very few good ones. Obvious but true.

Space, Time and Intelligence are the truly finite resources. If space was easily manipulatable, or time for that matter its not just SciFi, it's a loss of any sense of relatable reality. We're only a few years of limitless Int, and trust me, thats a even stranger scenario.
