@Tuyishimir54642 @MickyJnr__ I see dangerous tackles committed by different players on different occasions in the same sporting code. All should be of a punishable offense .

🚨😂 Messi fans have started a debate… “If you don’t like Lionel Messi, there are only two reasons: 1️⃣ He has embarrassed your team before. 2️⃣ He is better than your favourite player.” 🐐🇦🇷 Agree or disagree? 👀 The comments are about to be chaos. 😭 #FIFAWorldCup #WorldCup2026 #WorldCupwithMicky

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Zlatan talking about Lionel Messi after he scored a hattrick last night: "I don't think we will ever see a player like Lionel Messi again, because he is too special. He is something natural. Winning another World Cup won't change his status as GOAT." "It would just be another trophy in the showcase."

Have you ever seen a FIFA president celebrate a player's goal before? Aren't they supposed to remain neutral?

Lionel Messi has scored more World Cup goals since turning 35 than Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in his WHOLE CAREER! ⚽🤯 ONE word to describe Messi? 👇

🚨 Arsène Wenger on the Lionel Messi red card controversy against Algeria at the 2026 FIFA World Cup: 🗣️ “I’ve watched the incident a few times now and, honestly, I think people are getting carried away. Was it a foul? Yes. Was there contact? Absolutely. But a red card? Come on. Not every challenge involving Lionel Messi has to become a worldwide controversy. For me, football has lost a bit of common sense when people start analysing one challenge frame by frame and ignoring everything else that happened in the match. We’re talking about a player who just scored a hat-trick, dominated the game and produced one of the performances of the tournament so far. Yet somehow the biggest discussion is a challenge that VAR looked at and decided wasn’t worthy of a red card. That’s football in 2026, I suppose. The referee saw it. VAR checked it. And they came to the same conclusion. That should tell you something. I understand why Algeria are frustrated. I understand why fans are debating it. But when I look at the incident, I don’t see excessive force. I don’t see aggression. I don’t see a player trying to hurt an opponent. I see a football action that happened at full speed. What surprises me is that some people seemed desperate for it to be a red card before they even saw the replay. If we’re being honest, if that challenge is made by an ordinary midfielder in the middle of the pitch, we’re probably not still talking about it hours later. The reality is simple. Messi didn’t avoid a red card. The officials didn’t believe it was one. And instead of spending all night discussing that challenge, maybe we should spend some time appreciating another incredible FIFA World Cup performance from one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.” {@SkyNews }
