Ahora dice el gobierno de #EEUU que no ha tomado acción "punitiva" alguna contra #Cuba. ¿Qué es, si no punitivo, el bloqueo económico? ¿Qué es, si no punitiva, la amenaza a cualquier país que exporte combustibles a Cuba? ¿Qué son la persecución financiera de transacciones cubanas en cualquier país, la restricción a buques mercantes que toquen puertos cubanos y la prohibición de visitas de estadounidenses a Cuba? ¿Qué objetivo cumplen las listas selectivas y arbitraria como la de Estados patrocinadores de terrorismo, la de entidades restringidas y la de alojamientos restringidos? ¿En qué consisten las presiones abusivas contra gobiernos caribeños y latinoamericanos para que renuncien a programas de cooperación médica con Cuba, en aras de privar al país de ingresos legítimos, una acción netamente punitiva?

Assertions made by the #US government in Europe try to create confusion. They shamelessly lie and contradict their own statements, executive rules and acts when they deny the existence of a blockade on fuel supplies to #Cuba. It suffices to read the Executive Order of January 29 and further regulations adopted by the Treasury Department to prove that a brutal blockade is being applied on oil supplies as a way to expand and strengthen the collective punishment on all Cubans. This blockade includes threats of sanctions to third countries, foreign companies and hostile actions against tankers. THEY LIE.

In recent years, the #US has been hindering fuel supplies to #Cuba and is now applying a ferocious blockade on such supplies. For more than 67 years the US has imposed an economic warfare against Cuba with the intention to harm the economy, hamper production development, cut off sources of income and deny access to markets and technology. There is no need to impose an asymmetric, abusive and ruthless aggression against a government that is considered as incompetent. The US is resorting to this brutal onslaught because it is aware of the strength of the government under attack, the feasibility of it's socialist system and, most of all, it's proven commitment to social justice and solidarity.

If the Cuban government is so “incompetent”, why do you need to impose an economic, commercial and financial blockade to strangle its economy? Why do you need to threaten other countries if those countries want to sell oil to Cuba? Lies. War. Crimes. That’s what you do.

Ese fusil en manos de Silvio es mucho más que un arma de fuego, es un símbolo de la determinación del pueblo cubano de defender su Patria y su Revolución al precio que sea necesario. Que nadie lo dude. En ese gesto de Silvio está la dignidad y el coraje de millones de cubanos.

Según encuesta de medio estadounidense, casi la mitad (46%) de los ciudadanos de ese país desaprueba, en mayor o menor medida, la política actual del gobierno de #EEUU de bloquear los envíos de petróleo a #Cuba procedentes de otros países, frente a una aprobación del 28%. A diferencia de su gobierno y los halcones belicistas que lo administran, los estadounidenses perciben el carácter inhumano y criminal de una medida que castiga a todo un pueblo, violando su derecho a la libre autodeterminación, al desarrollo y a comerciar libremente con otros países, con el fin de subvertir el orden constitucional cubano y subyugar a nuestro gobierno.

Exportar combustible a Cuba es legal y es legítimo. Todo país soberano tiene derecho a hacerlo en términos comerciales o como desee. Lo ilegal es la amenaza de EEUU a quien lo haga. Es el gob de EEUU el que no tiene derecho a impedirlo, ni a interferir en tales exportaciones.
