Devastated at the death of Graham Thorpe, an exceptional batsman who played when there was little glory, but who fought for every run. You always felt a win was possible with Thorpey at the crease. Batting in the dusk to beat Pakistan in Karachi, an unforgettable memory.

SZA seems to have sorted her mic out but we still can't really understand a word she is saying, so we've popped the subtitles on. Love the staging & quite like her sound but still feel like there is a lot of autotune on her voice. Also has she banned close ups! #Glastonbury2024

Took 50 of my Sherlock Holmes books to the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection in Portsmouth yesterday. Sad. Although there's the comfort of knowing that perhaps others will enjoy them.

I know people have been a bit disappointed in the @Waterstones sale but I had a lovely morning visiting @PompeyBookshop & Waterstones Petersfield and came home with a fantastic haul That's my Christmas gift cards spent!

@lamia_reads @bookfacejames @RaymondSouthorn Anyway this year seems to be a far smaller sale this year in fact the two stores I've been in today (Portsmouth and Petersfield) haven't got their sale stock marked up yet so I've been pricing to the website. I have managed to get some books I'm very pleased with

@lamia_reads @bookfacejames @RaymondSouthorn Certainly wasn't the case for the 4 stores near me (Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester & Fareham) I went in and they had some but definitely not all. Seems to be mostly stores in the north that people reported having more Hardbacks half price.

@Waterstones The half price on every Hardback sale only happened in 2021. Last year it was selected titles same as this year. Whilst I always live in hope that they will do it again, I think it was a post pandemic thing!

Tohle je letošní poslední páteční ptačí report #ptacciproukrajinu, v pořadí 46. Ptačí letka už má 878 členů. Dokončit jsem jich zatím stihla 673 a namalovat jsem dárcům slíbila dalších 205. Pro Ukrajinu pomohli vybrat: 1 903 271 Kč. JAKO FAKT 😍 Můj první letošní člen letky měl pořadové číslo 348, ti poslední, které nasdílím dnes večer, budou mít čísla 674-5 (jsou to dvě poštolky). To znamená, že jsem za tenhle rok namalovala a nasdílela 327 NOVÝCH ORIGINÁLNÍCH OBRÁZKŮ - když to takhle vidím napsaný, tak mi to přijde jako naprostá šílenost 🙂 A to jsem ve skutečnosti těch obrázků namalovala asi o 15 víc - abych stihla poslat do Vánoc všechny, které jsem slíbila (ale nestihla jsem je nasdílet na sítě, takže je do letky zatím nepočítám a napravím to v lednu :)). Jak už jsem zmínila, poslední členy letošní letky nasdílím dnes večer a do konce roku už žádné nové členy letky malovat ani sdílet nebudu. Myslím, že už fakt trošku potřebuju pauzu, abych příští rok zvládla všechny další obrázky 🙂. Ale pokoj s ptáčky proUA vám rozhodně nedám - zbytek roku využiju na připomenutí některých letošních členů letky - každý den vyberu jednoho zástupce jednotlivých měsíců roku 2023.
