@HSJEditor It wasn’t a pay rise, it was the part reversal of 15 years of pay cuts. If you had £200, and I took £100 off you, and then gave you back £22.30 back, you wouldn’t be happy for it to be described as me giving you a 22.3% more, would you.

@walsh_joe @clifford0584 What you’re suggesting and what the original tweet suggested are different though Early enough to settle in and ready to receive handover on time ✅ Early enough to review patients on ICU and prepare WR/take handover before the shift starts ❌

@clifford0584 Mmmm I kind of agree. Aiming to arrive 10 minutes early minimises the chance of being late, with is just stressful. A relaxed start to work doesn’t start with a rush to make it on time. People who are chronically late by a few minutes, can almost always have arrived on time

In an unprecedented development, the UK Government has managed a full 24 hours without a single one making a racist comment, caught openly lying, being busted for a sexual offence or a financial fraud, or channeling cash to their family.

@peteturton85 @walsh_joe and I really enjoy a slightly louder than normal conversation in these queues about what a bad idea Brexit was and watching the gammon fume…

True, you have been in the room It’s where you told us you were more afraid of what the daily mail readership would think rather than actually trying to resolve our dispute Stellar leadership
Victoria Atkins@VictoriaAtkins

I’ve been in the room with Junior Doctors. Keir Starmer cannot tell you how he would actually solve the dispute. I would stand up for taxpayers and patients. It’s called leadership.

Junior doctors, let's make sure full pay restoration stays front and centre during this election. We strike again with a 5 day full walkout from 7am on 27 June to 7am on 2 July. Let's make this round of action our biggest and loudest yet! #DoctorsStrike bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

Tell Us: What law/regulation would u change to improve personal finances? A money-festo... This isn’t about polemic issues like double/scrap tax. I'm looking for small practical tweaks, similar to -stop mid-contract broadband prices rises -raise the Lifetime ISA property limit -make roaming firms tell you ‘what counts as a day’ when abroad All of which I've campaigned on. Pls write yours by reply & and we'll pick some to go on my podcast next week. And do LIKE THOSE YOU SUPPORT

@walsh_joe @sh_abbers But also notice the hands being firmly held to stop from pulling straight off 😅 We find the best technique for application is when being directly blinded so the difference is noticed with hands immediately occupied!

@drfudk Agree with this. Final year should be a true apprenticeship, valued as a legitimate participant. The issue often cited though is that shouldn't such workers be paid? How would this be overcome?

You are in charge of a new medical school. You have a blank slate for curriculum design and reasonable resources. What do you change? What's your big idea? & why? Interested in thoughts #medtwitter
