He is correct. Shona is a colonial construction that was formalised in 1931 by South African linguist, Dr Clement Doke, who was hired by the Rhodesian government to create a common language for the black population outside of the Ndebele-speaking communities.
It is an insult to be called Shona, and those who do so deserve to be called out. The term was never indigenous; it was imposed by colonial administrators to lump together diverse groups for easier control.
We are Manyika, Zezuru, Korekore, Karanga, Ndau, and Barwe — each with our own distinct histories, dialects, and cultural identities. The name “Shona” erased these differences and served as a colonial tool of homogenisation.

Rating agencies have the calmness of a monk about all this Hosh.
The Rand is gardening and not falling or tripping or twerking. What a stable fellow these days.
If it was anybody with a Zuma surname, the Rand would be bungee jumping and Mr Moodys would be at his moodiest.
Africa Research Desk@MightiJamie
Notice how big business is blue ticking this. Under Zuma every CEO would be writing an open letter and Magda would be organising a march. Remember how SAVE South Africa was formed. Big business was all over that. They deleted the website shortly after Ramaphosa came into power… Then Defend Democracy came onto the scene. Now we are hearing about a Hosh Cartel which can touch ministers and make them shut down a police task team. Those same CEO’s who pledged seem to have lost their voice. Must be that flu going around.

If you listen to President Julius Malema with hatred you will live a very angry Life against yourself until the end of your time because the Truth will remain the Truth even after Life.
