Absolutely gutted for my friends and for the industry. The loss of FanDuel TV (TVG) and its impact on the sport can’t be overstated. That said, this is an immensely talented, passionate group who truly love this sport. This won’t be the last we hear from them.

@JHall8888 @theTDN @craigbrogden @NewVocations Nope. Just retired one last week. It took three days now she has a great home as a polar horse.

@JHall8888 @theTDN @craigbrogden @NewVocations I can tell you that every single one of our horses that are retired are placed with 2nd career places. Such as polo or jumping. Sometimes we hang onto to them for months until we find them great homes. It’s not that difficult it just takes patience and they deserve it. Period.

Is it possible we're making the aftercare issue exponentially more difficult than it needs to be? Do we really need to pump millions into these organizations all the while knowing the math doesn't math... or can we streamline the process by educating individual owners on placing horses themselves?

@UlwellingRacing My personal opinion is many vet practices are being bought by conglomerates and paying bonuses or even commissions now to the vets. So are they pushing more things than they normally would? And the Hisa fees are out of control. Jog to breeze. 25 bucks. Jog to enter. 25 bucks.

@EnglerRacing Agree! Thank you for sharing. It’s out of control. This needs to be addressed. Nothing says owners “have to own horses” we consider it a privilege. Lots of changes need to be made.

One thing that does not get talked about enough, is the rising cost of veterinarians at horse tracks since HOSA got involved .
