Every year on March 21, World Down Syndrome Day is observed to create awareness about Down syndrome. It is a condition in which a child is born with an extra 21st chromosome. @pepcleveland is honored to serve young people with Down Syndrome and other differently abled children.

This morning, the @pepcleveland #PEPHopwell Lowriders presented their problem-based learning project's demonstration of learning about litter prevention to @CityofCleveland officials. They presented their research and proposed solution, and debuted their anti-litter campaign!

Congratulations to the staff of @pepcleveland #PEPChesnutt! As part of a flourishing workplace, #PEPpers engage in monthly challenges, including our recent Equity Champions shoe drive for refugees and newcomers. The Bulldogs led the way with 71% of staff donating 66 pairs!

Today was the final day of @pepcleveland #PEPPrentiss Person of the Month, an opportunity for each of our students to invite their loved ones to a light breakfast and celebrate how "spec-tacular" they are! Over 50 families participated this week. Strengthening Minds with Heart!

This evening, I had the pleasure of joining the @pepcleveland #PEPPrentiss Autism Center Parent Group, where parents enjoy respite time and peer to peer support. Tonight, we enjoyed dinner, made birthday and Valentine's cards, and learned to paint from art teacher Mr. Roberts.
