(THREAD🧵) Importance of internal rotation Internal rotation plays as crucial role in decelerating the arm during ball release from external rotation (layback) into internal rotation (ball release) as well as pronation. If IR is limited by strength the arm tends to slam across.

Arm Care Tip: as the arm accelerates, it drives into shoulder internal rotation as the forearm pronates. Here's a simple tweak to a band exercise you're likely already doing to ⬆️ forearm (pronator) activation considerably.

Gaining weight to increase velo works because it’s the easiest way to increase impulse duration and peak. If your weight increases but you have the exact same collision you have a larger change in momentum. More weight = more impulse. That’s probably helpful up to a point.
