@mcdougall_annie If i’ve learnt anything recently it’s that scientist massively under-rate their transferable skills. It’s scary to make a jump but is exciting to embrace a new challenge!

@DrLisaAkison Absolutely - this is why science communication is an essential skill for all researchers. Just because you know it and are passionate about it, don't assume everyone feels the same. We need to keep our key messages simple and clear....and hope for the ripple outwards

@EvansPeriod I know. It highlights to me the bubble of knowledge that we work in that is not necessarily disseminating out. I made it very clear to my girls it is NOT OK, and will hope they spread the word.

1/ My teenage daughters were watching back-episodes of Yummy Mummies and I was disappointed to see them all drinking champagne at the baby shower after a mother of a YM said “you can have 2 drinks a week while pregnant - says on Google!“
