That may have been the original strategy, but somewhere along the way, it changed as they released the sequels, which goes against the "initial plan". Either way, until Sony announces it officially or the no release of a single player game by the end of 2027, it's business as usual. I'm not sure why people are still on this so much. A PS5 is more of a pc It can: use kb & m, webcam, use a usb mic DIRECTLY, swap out HDD - just like a PC 😁 Xbox can't use usb mic DIRECTLY, and uses proprietary HDD anyone with a morsel of clue in enginering wouldn't call ps5 a console

@chaosprimeZ Yeah Gaming Partnerships/business development is business speak for getting games and partners onto the platform. That’s not marketing as in ad campaigns strategy.

If Sony is indeed making its own launcher, I think this is a smart move by them. This way there is no ambiguity about people have a PS account. Hopefully this will also mean, just like XBOX, you can play your games on PS and PC cross save and be-able to jump between them at will. Add the handheld into the mix and you have "PlayStation Play Anywhere" xD
