We've loved designing a living memorial of special trees to celebrate and honour the Commonwealth Foresters @scotforestry @GlasgowCC @GreenActionT

Today saw the opening of the Commonwealth Foresters’ Memorial Tree Planting in Glasgow. Exhibit Scotland filmed the construction from start-finish, with drones and in 360 degrees. We made short films detailing the process. Here is the overview film youtu.be/tCf1gaVbRe4

The living memorial features 100 trees set in rings to mark the passage of time. Minister @MairiMcAllan planted the last tree with Yutsil Martinez grandson of Sam Martinez, a man who travelled from Belize in 1942 to work in Scotland's forests. Photos by Alan Peebles.
