@ExpressionsHj @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem These people that I cited where never reclassified they where always called negro by records Mary Queen was always referred to as a negro her children whom James Carroll fathered cousin to John Carroll and Charles Carroll signer of the declaration of independence
English

@coziestfemme @ItsNOMETA @datellecash @RealNyhiem Do you know what absorbed into the larger African descent population mean?
English

@ExpressionsHj @ItsNOMETA @datellecash @RealNyhiem Racial classification coincided with the slavery which is why people were being demoted as negro and black….most native Americans either became white or black
English

@datellecash @ExpressionsHj @RealNyhiem Yes the Spanish ruled the Louisiana territory from 1762-1802
English

@ItsNOMETA @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem If it doesn’t produce indigenous people called Negro/Black before the 20 and odd Negroes arrived in Virginia from Angola Africa in 1619.
English

@ExpressionsHj @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem I think your all over the place your statement “I agree. In the U.S Negro/Black Mulatto DENOTES people of African Ancestry” Denotes means a direct sign, literal meaning ; Then you referenced a time period and Nation the U.S , I stated that’s not true…with examples
English

@datellecash @bAnthonYsr @RealNyhiem It was a Spanish rule when it was a French or Spanish colony but not when it became apart of the US. Stop it K.K. We went over this chart before. I’m tired and going to BED now. It’s 12 am in NY. Goodnight 💤
English

@ExpressionsHj @bAnthonYsr @RealNyhiem The problem you both have is. The 13 colonies is not the entire USA.
In 1850 the USA said that there was a “Spanish Rule”

English

@ItsNOMETA @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem That isn’t an error. First of all you can’t say those families were reclassified as Negro/ Black as if it wasn’t millions of people of African descent already classified as Negro/Black. Then name an indigenous person in the colonies who was called a Negro or Black before 1619.
English

@ExpressionsHj @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem I’m not pointing out American indigenous didn’t fight to not be classified as negro I’m pointing out you error in “denoting”negro to African ancestry this is not accurate no 🇺🇸 colonial anthropologist would ever back that statement I gave you 4 known stories for your research

English

@bAnthonYsr @datellecash @RealNyhiem Yeah I agree💯. They always conflate Usoa history with South and Central America.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem Ok.. but My point is that the text you both posted about the negro de terra has nothing to do with the U.S. at all
English

@coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem I don’t know what he is but he looks European to me.
So it looks like he has way more European ancestry than Native American.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem So are native Americans who are mixed white now NOT Native American bc they’re mixed with white?? Is this man NOT Native American?

English

@bAnthonYsr @datellecash @RealNyhiem I’m not disputing melanated indigenous people in America but I think calling them Black is something they fought against because it erased their identities and indigeneity.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem I’m not certain why but Regardless of a European identifier.. Are you disputing melanated or Black indigenous people in America ?
English

@ItsNOMETA @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem In America it does that’s why American Indians fought against those classifications because it erased their indigeneity. Y’all need to stop pretending there wasn’t already a group of people classified as Negro/Black or that Indians were okay with it.
English

@ExpressionsHj @coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem Black “Negro” and Mulatto does not denote African ancestry there where East Indian families labeled negro like the Weaver family of Lancaster County VA ,Mayhew Family of Prince George’s County and Chew Family of Prince George’s Co and Indigenous princess Mary Queen Poppaw Queen
GIF
English

@bAnthonYsr @datellecash @RealNyhiem It also had nothing to do with the 13 British colonies or the USOA that’s why I don’t understand why she posted that article.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem Has nothing at all to do with the Caribbean & especially not the USA
English

@coziestfemme @grok @RealNyhiem @datellecash If it’s a community of people of African descent you can’t see generation after generation how the Indian dna is absorbed?
English

@bAnthonYsr @datellecash @RealNyhiem Yes The Spanish colonies in the Americas and the Caribbean. It was the Portuguese that identified enslaved Indians as Negro de Terra other free Indians they called Indios.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem I’m trying to figure out your point…
Do you know where the geographical location this text is referring to?
English

@datellecash @coziestfemme @grok @ExpressionsHj It's for you delusional people, not me. Hilda already cooking yall
English

@bAnthonYsr @datellecash @RealNyhiem It’s real. The Portuguese crown abolished the slavery of Indians in their colonies in 1542 and ended calling them Negro de Terra in 1755. That’s is a Fact.
English

@coziestfemme @datellecash @RealNyhiem Okay that population would be 6 to 5x great grandparents and it’s 1500 more Africans than Indians. Which means their progeny over generations as an isolated group would have more African ancestry than Indian.
English

@ExpressionsHj @datellecash @RealNyhiem They would enslave them here too…they transferred African slaves back and forth too

English
