I remember it well!

A colleague from 1977 sent me this: the typewriter we used in the newsroom at the Rock Springs Daily Rocket-Miner in Wyoming. It's an antique. Wow! I've been doing this a loooooong time.

2023 was a summer of black bears in the Denali Park area. This is just south of Healy last week.

This is a big election year for the Denali Borough. New mayor and all new borough assembly and school board. All seats open. Filing deadline isn't until Sept. 14, but some candidates are already arranging meet-and-greets.

Eighth-graders at Healy' Tri-Valley School gave their SED (Students Educating Denali) talks last week - overcoming fear of public speaking and sharing what is important to them.

It takes a lot of strong volunteers to help raise the Nenana Ice Classic tripod.

@gomer2323 Yes, you are correct. Cantwell School stayed open all last year, with no state funding. The School Board is looking at the situation again now.
