Heavy disruption and utility? - Wind shear now 30 sec with small lockout. - Greater purge long cooldown and minimal impact, lack GCDs for regular purge. - Buff totems pretty much removed or share same node for talents. Damage? - Electrocute useless since legion, despite multiple buffs(just not big enough). - Lack of GCD space to apply damage. Most healers with damage amplifies their healing or doesn't directly disrupt their flow. - Flame shock -> lava burst is consistently 2 globals and does very little damage, or at least impactful damage. - Master of elements fits this description, but it's just super weak due to it only amplifying healing wave, and costs an honor talent. (obviously 1 honor talent space is a huge tax for most classes) Especially if totemic is meta, rain dance is basically a necessity which feels awful to be forced to take as a PvP talent. Crowd Control? - Druid, Dragon, Paladin, and Priest all have spammable crowd control, and Monk has a triple cc combo(three separate DRs) with two crowd controls being instant, there is minimal outplay, essentially being just as strong as spammable crowd control. Comparing that to hex and lasso, hex not being spammable, simultaneously being vulnerable to most meta comps that have a decurse on the team, and lasso being a channeled, interruptible stun that locks you out of healing for multiple globals. It's just not close to being balanced/fair. Cooldown advantage? - Spirit link(short radius, barely heals, totem latency, killable) - healing tide(killable) - ascendance(not worth mentioning, healing tide is better for pvp unless giga buffs) - earthen wall totem(not in the game anymore), but never forget how much shaman players suffered for years as they're forced to have their cooldowns perform within a 20 yard radius max while actual pvp extends beyond 40+ yards in terms of gameplay. There are still similar grief mechanics in the game like surging totem. Compare that to the new mechanics of efflo(druid) and lifebloom. It's not close. - With how many problems totemic brings with rain dance/surging totem, farseer has to be meta in order for shaman to feel close to "good". Not in terms of power but play, and I am a fan of totemic myself for the chain heal procs and totem size/radius for perspective. What's the point? - As cringe as this sounds, these are typically the four pillars of PvP aside from actual healing and mana when it comes to healer win conditions. - I think most people would agree that just simply raw healing and raw mana should never be a win condition just for simply existing, with the exception of outplayable components that extend mana or healing like innervate as an example. - Shaman is essentially last place in every pillar, and if not second or third last. I think in order for a class to feel good, it should be competing for first or second in strength in two of the four pillars.

1 Monat Midnight nun. Für mich bisher einfach nur stark Geht es so weiter, bleibt diese Erweiterung für mich auf Platz 1. Open World, Feature, Dungeons, Raids und Tiefen sind alle durchweg geil. Lore, Worldbuilding, Sound und Erzählung packen mich komplett. Blizzard, danke für einen solchen Spielspaß! <3

@lilnird (2).. this leads to the issue that WoW is facing again and again. The story has to be big and amazing and one red thread - we ignore all those actually amazing small stories all over the world, just to have one major story. In WORLD of Warcraft. And thats smth you can only f up.

@lilnird Late here, but - I think one of the biggest mistakes was to make it that story-heavy from a players pov. We used to go with the story and nowadays we sort of "are" the story. Ofc we defeated the big guys before, but we did that as a collective. Not as THE champion. And.. (1)
