As an autistic person I run into this all the time. Ai generated writing was built learning from real writing, specifically fan fiction. I use em dashes like no one’s business but because of the huge amount of out cry or “that’s ai” it’s makes me not want to write anymore.

This is why AI detectors WILL NEVER WORK. This was my writing, handwritten by me ON MY OWN without the help of any LLM. I ran it through Winston and Pangram (two leading AI checkers) and here are the very different results. Don't be fooled. AI Checkers don't find real AI at all.
