I pity anyone who mistreats a woman, imagine the risks we take to bring life and then there's the postpartum complications. Jesus bless us mothers
Sadam@ArcSadam

This time, it wasn’t the labour pain that made me cry… but what happened after. The first two pictures are of me on March 1st, just a few hours after giving birth. My baby arrived safely, no complications. But the placenta? It didn’t come out. They had to manually remove it. After that, my tear was stitched, and I walked back to my recovery bed thinking the worst was over. My husband brought me hot white rice, stew, and beef. I was so hungry after labouring all night—I ate like my life depended on it. But shortly after, when I tried to lie down properly, I noticed my bed was soaked. I had been bleeding heavily. Everything changed instantly. I was rushed back in, and suddenly there were doctors, nurses, equipment, and medications everywhere. I was fighting for my life. I could see it in their faces—the urgency, the fear. They were working nonstop, sweating, trying to stop the bleeding. At that point, I wasn’t just holding on… I was begging to live. The pain, the constant needles—it all broke me. For the first time, I cried deeply. And in the middle of it all, I could hear my newborn crying, hungry for her first feed. I remember wondering… would I even survive to breastfeed my baby? I cried out to God, begging Him to spare my life—for my children. But what’s even more terrifying… Maybe I’ll share the rest of the story another time. For now, I’m just grateful—to be alive, and for a full month of slow but steady recovery 🥺🙏🏼

Taraji P. Henson says that after the Oscars night in 2008—for which she had been nominated—had passed, her phone stopped ringing; there were no invitations for roles or anything, and then Tyler Perry called, offering her the lead role in the film ‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself’ “I remember when I got nominated for the Oscar, you know, the Oscar run is crazy. The phone is ringing. You got to be here. You got to be there. And then the day after the Oscars, the phone stops ringing. It's weird because it's like your nervous system is shocked because you're so used to going in and all of a sudden, nothing. And all the best invitations and all the things. Gone. No phone calls. You know who called me? This man right here [Tyler Perry]. For a leading role, not supporting. A leading role. People started asking me on my team, ‘why are you going to do a Tyler Perry movie?,’ No one called to offer me a number one position in the film. He did. And then told me what to ask for. Gave me a quote when I didn't have a quote. And so to this day, I don't care how big I get. I don't care how many awards I win. Whenever he calls, I'm there.” 🔗 instagram.com/reel/DWl5ivMjQ…

After our surrogate delivered our baby, my mom stopped by the hospital to offer her congratulations — only to see the baby and blurt out, "YOU CAN'T KEEP THIS CHILD!" After suffering several miscarriages, I had almost given up on becoming a mother. I went through endless exams, doctors’ appointments, tried different medications — nothing helped. Finally, my husband mentioned surrogacy. We thought it through carefully, had many discussions, and eventually decided to try it. We arranged everything properly and legally. Both parties had lawyers at the contract signing. Our surrogate's pregnancy was uneventful and healthy. At our first ultrasound, as soon as we heard the heartbeat, my husband and I both cried. After nine months, our little girl was born. Cradling her, it felt like happiness had finally reached me — my dream realized. The next day, my mother came to the hospital to greet us and the baby. She entered with a smile. But once she caught sight of Lily sleeping, she paused, unmoving. She watched Lily for a while. Her face lost color; her voice faltered: "You can't keep this child!" I felt my heart race. My mother is a gentle soul, present throughout the pregnancy, longing for this granddaughter. This wasn’t how she behaves. I asked her again: "Mom, what are you saying?" She raised her eyes and replied: "PLEASE, LISTEN TO ME CAREFULLY. YOU HAVE TO GIVE HER UP BECAUSE..." Every sentence from her felt like my lungs were emptying. ⬇️

A coworker died yesterday morning😭. HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway. This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve. It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair. But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life . At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.

Every once in a while, a ewe will give birth to a lamb and reject it. There are many reasons she may do this. If the lamb is returned to the ewe, the mother may even kick the poor animal away. Once a ewe rejects one of her lambs, she will never change her mind. These little lambs will hang their heads so low that it looks like something is wrong with its neck. Their spirit is broken. These lambs are called “bummer lambs.” Unless the Shepherd intervenes, that lamb will die, rejected and alone. So, do you know what the Shepherd does? He takes that rejected little one into His home, hand-feeds it and keeps it warm by the fire. He will wrap it up with blankets and hold it to His chest so the bummer can hear His heartbeat. Once the lamb is strong enough, the Shepherd will place it back in the field with the rest of the flock. But that sheep never forgets how the Shepherd cared for him when his mother rejected him. When the Shepherd calls for the flock, guess who runs to Him first? That is right, the bummer sheep. He knows His voice intimately. It is not that the bummer lamb is loved more, it just knows intimately the One who loves it and has experienced that love one on one. So many of us are bummer lambs, rejected and broken. But He is the good Shepherd. He cares for our every need and holds us close to His heart so we can hear His heartbeat. I am a bummer lamb adopted and loved by The Good Shepherd!! Hallelujah!!

I tested 12 AI tools with over 30 doctoral researchers. 8 of them made their work worse. Real researchers. Real tasks. 3 months of testing. Here's what we found.

She nearly quit her DBA. I nearly let her. Two kids. A leadership role. A deadline she couldn't meet. She wasn't struggling because she lacked ability. She was trying to do a doctorate the way universities design them. For full-time students with no other life.

I did not ask for God for money. I asked Him for: 1. Vision 2. Strategy 3. The right people 4. Courage 5. Wisdom 6. The right environment 7. Favor As a result of these things money came. I dare you to ask Him!

She messaged me at 11pm: "I'm done. I can't do this anymore." 18 months into her PhD. Working full-time. Raising a family. Supervisor silent for 6 weeks. She'd already drafted the withdrawal email. One question changed everything
