@mattkaroly You’re leaving out the key component of what those top WRs make ... their age. Julio is the only one on the wrong side of 30 for the next 3 years. I’m not arguing your logic, I just don’t think anyone is giving that much for him. 30yr old+ WRs typically don’t fare well. #Falcons

The team trading for Julio would be on the hook for the following $ : 2021- $15.3M 2022- $11.5M 2023- $11.5M Getting the best WR in football for $12.76M per year when top WRs are now making $20M is why the #Falcons should be able to get a 1st round pick with no concessions.

You’ll either get a 1st round pick or someone to pay the cap hit. But not both. The #Falcons expecting some team to do both makes them foolish.

A week out and I’m starting to think I’m on the Penei Sewell train more and more. Draft Sewell at No. 4, build a solid o-line for Matt Ryan + run the ball better. Also like Slater as an option if they decide to trade back.

Those numbers come from the DAL, CHI & DET games. Add in MIN & LV game where they never trailed. For arguments sake, if they win first three, they are 7-9 and still the outlier on that list.
