"maybe you're right. maybe it's the same for us both and that's why they sent us to this planet." anakin chuckled, not serious in his response. he leaped over a minor hole before looking back. "have you been watching behind us?"

“if you think the council wouldn’t question me .. you’re wrong. your disappearance would be my downfall. — so try not to be easy prey.”

anakin knew why the man laughed, and that only urged him to make the remark. “i would have no problem hunting, but we are lucky. i would grow tired and weary defending such easy prey. eventually you would end up on a plate and i would have to explain to the council.”

She has sensed the man's presence through the force, so she turns her face toward him, but she does not smile back at him, not yet.
