I think I have this push for deportations figured out, and it all has to do with UBI. AI is about to fundamentally change the economic landscape. Millions of people at risk of losing jobs. Millions of mouths to feed. As much as the tech lords want you to believe that there will be a smooth transition to a jobless society, the reality is much more grim. We have to make a decision on whether we're going to take care of us, or them during the turbulent transition to UBI.
