Which is why I question the motivation of pointing at the lab leak theory as a crazy conspiracy. Out breaks are normally natural, the few that happen around labs/treatment facilities, it's normally their fault.

The first genomic studies of the virus found signs of animal incubation and not of artificial changes. That's why the animal theory was favored. It wasn't a random decision.

Then media, politicians, and government experts went full burn mode on anyone claiming it was a lab leak, that should make you pause.

Its very plausible an infected worker went to the market, or there was a ventilation issue like what happened in Brazil. That's good enough evidence not to label people conspiracy theorists and dismiss them.

If credible sources keep investigating and find it was indeed a lab leak then any rational person without preconceptions will accept the facts.
