Session
Session@session_app·
Your donations have helped, and the Session Technology Foundation (STF) has received enough funding to support critical operations for 90 days. This means that Session will remain available on the app stores and essential services (such as the file server and push notification server) will stay online until July 8. For now, further development has been paused, so new features will not be released and emerging or existing bugs may not be immediately fixed. Most likely, there will be no new releases during this period. Volunteers will continue to keep Session alive for as long as is feasible. However, without proper funding to put towards development, over time Session will fall behind alternatives on usability and (eventually) security. We are extremely grateful to all the members of the community who have helped Session over the years by running nodes, onboarding their friends, and contributing to the foundation. Thank you to all who have worked with us to defend privacy for the last 8 years. Currently, it is estimated that USD$1 million is needed to complete the launch and support Protocol v2 (PFS, post-quantum, secure device management) and Pro (ecosystem sustainability). Beyond this, it is hoped the project could stand on its own. However, without this funding, the final day for Session is July 8. Although we must give this notice now, we will continue doing everything we can to secure more time for Session. If you or someone you know might be able to help, please connect. getsession.org/donate

Holy cope! Telegram is not even E2EE by default and secret chats suck! 🥀 - They work only on one device - It does not work with group chats - You lose reactions, message editing, and more ☠️☠️☠️
Pavel Durov@durov

That’s why Telegram Secret Chats never show message content in push notifications. Since 2013, Secret Chats have remained the most secure usable way to communicate. US gov funded Signal has too many questionable dependencies on other US companies (AWS, MS, Intel SGX…)

- whatsapp: can probably read everything - telegram: huge psyop, no privacy by default - xchat: 4-digit pin for "end-to-end encryption" 🤡 - signal: stores plaintext notifications, needs phone number secure chat is more important than ever but things aren't looking great

@AIDRIVR @niccruzpatane 14.2 always backs into my garage but never in correct location and never far enough back. So I always have to finish the job.

@Teknium Argh! That means I'll need another rebase before I can submit my new gateway as PR 🤣

Early Beta Support for Blue Bubbles iMsg as a Gateway is now in Hermes Agent. Now you can use iMessage as an interaction layer for your agent. Test early by using hermes update and setting it up! Let us know how it goes 📷

Dear "Tesla Community": It is April of 2026, and Tesla continues to ramp units of Cybercab with Steering Wheel and Pedals. Please populate your apologies below. I have shortened the deadline TO THIS FRIDAY instead of 2 Weeks - because it has now become obvious that Victory is Imminent. Do Not Let Your Ego Prevent You From Bowing Down To Your One True King.
Joe Tegtmeyer 🚀 🤠🛸😎@JoeTegtmeyer

Happy 8 April (Wednesday) at Giga Texas, especially for those wanting an update on Cybercabs … I saw about 60 of them in two groups in the outbound lot today … the largest grouping yet! Also, looks like at least some of these have white seats and most still have clearly visible steering wheels … I will let you conclude what you wish from that, but these still do not look like the final “production” versions, so perhaps they are testing out some of the new features while testing some of the @robotaxi areas around the country.

i contributed another patch to @nousresearch’s hermes agent to improve support for @xai’s grok models. - accurate 2m context for grok-4.20-0309-reasoning - 1m context for grok-4-1-fast-reasoning - automatic provider detection for api.x.ai this removes the need for manual custom_providers configuration. grok 4.20 continues to be excellent for agentic workflows. pr: github.com/nousresearch/h… thanks again for the fast merges @teknium. open source is the way. @elonmusk

FSD 14.3 seems to want to park extremely close to the destination and easily get stuck in a loop looking for parking if it can't find a spot close.

agent orchestration tools are sleeping on nostr - no account sign ups, plug in your agent, done - every agent gets their own private public key pair - simple protocol, coding agents just get it - choose from hundreds of public relays ask your agent about it

Deeper dive into some of the updates in v0.7 Memory: We have begun transitioning each of the systems in Hermes Agent to work through defined interfaces so that the core code is more maintainable, and more providers for everything can be supported. We started with memory: Now there is a plugin type that is for memory providers, pulled Honcho out of the core codebase, made it a plugin, and added 6 more systems that were waiting as PRs as new options. Now you can access your favorite much easier, and if your favorite isn't built in, it is easy to create a new plugin that does!

Hermes Agent v0.7.0 is out now. Our headline update: Memory is now an extensible plugin system. Swap in any backend, or build your own. Built-in memory works out of the box; six third-party providers are ready to go. Pick one with 'hermes memory setup'. Full changelog below ↓

@Teknium How can I get Hermes to tell me what it's going to do BEFORE it does it instead of after it did it?

We also added in-line diffs to the CLI TUI! Many coders desired the ability to see the changes the agent was making when it was making it, to better help them know what's going on. Now you can! It is on by default but able to be disabled in the config!

@Festermentation @dexhorthy @badlogicgames That costs 10x what the subs cost - thats obviously why anyone cares at all about using the sub - not because there's no other way to use claude I use it on openrouter and pay full price. They dont want to. It's that simple

like I’ve said a few times, well within TOS to do this, they built the model, if they wanna give you inference at pennies on the dollar on the condition that you use their harness, great, they have the right to do this. On this topic in particular, I don’t understand the “evil” or “rugpull”, jeers. There was never any promise to give people cheap inference. Before the claude code max plan we were all paying per token to use this stuff. And we’re more or less happy to do it (sure the VC funding helps). Every enterprise I know pays per token because when you use subsidized inference, YOU are the product. “Have some cheap code, in exchange for helping to train the next gen of models” You can hate on that particular behavior if you want but nobody is making you take part in that particular market dynamic. Do I wanna see a world where model companies take some of their massive financial gains and use that to pull everybody up? Of course. I hope it happens some day. An allegory perhaps: If public e-bike company gave you a subscription on rides and you proceeded to around ripping out batteries and sticking them in your own bike and ride around town, you’d get banned for that too. Especially if your bike was poorly wired and overloaded the batteries/cause them to flame up etc. Banning that behavior would deliver far better results for the people who were using the system as designed
Boris Cherny@bcherny

Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.
