@datMoneyJEG @thechito20 @pics_vg @RealStrictlyLTD 1: Can't people just enjoy their games? 2: You sure the stock market hasn't rotted your brain a little *too* much, considering you're boiling a literal source of entertainment down to monetary value and monetary value only?

Ok so I got my @RealStrictlyLTD copy of Wild Guns on SNES: the reprint! Here are my thoughts on it overall (1/7)

@JohnAWoods10 @onlyone00001 If only you read the comments, or the hashtag, you'd figure that this is RWBY.
English

@onlyone00001 Where is this from???
I assume it's a fan animation, but I can't find anything about it.
I would appreciate any help finding more info please.

@cottondpad @_Christallina_ @cheesycrackers_ @dumbandanxious Except they absolutely *do not* have to be developing it for a living. Many, *many* FOSS contributions are entirely on free time, and not paid time. Paid time for FOSS work is actually rare as hell, in contrast.
English

@Feveth @_Christallina_ @cheesycrackers_ @dumbandanxious They probably meant how do the developers do it for a living (since they need to be able to pay for food, for rent, etc). They do have donations. Not enough if you ask me. I'm subscribed to give a little bit a month.
English

@_Christallina_ @cheesycrackers_ @dumbandanxious You realize not everything has to profit, right? Krita is FOSS, and not made for profit.
English

@cheesycrackers_ @dumbandanxious But how do they profit? By donations?

@lunasorcery Ha this reminds me, I still have the old wip “Helms Deep for Oblivion” mod somewhere that we never got to release. Not sure if archivist archive mods though, but it was an ok big deal back then 😂

@ArthurVyater this really looks super touhou to me, did you ever think about maybe chatting up zun?
English

@Geeks3D If the community had the source code, this program could both be updated and properly packaged into distribution repositories and be beneficial literally everywhere, instead of just certain systems. This means it'd be useful for ARM, MIPS, x86, etc, just as examples.
English

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu 5/5 it plenty obvious exactly *why* not every processor is supported, nevermind working. Don't blame Dolphin, point your blame at the likes of @MediaTek because they need this flak, and tons of it.

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu 4/? a bunch of hardware in their phones, which needs to be painstakingly reverse-engineered to get *anywhere* with custom kernels and systems. The only instance of this source license ever, ever being honored by Mediatek was for the original Android One phones. I think this makes

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu 3/? of this, with vendors like Mediatek and other Chinese chip makers, you have absolutely *zero* source code access, which is actually required by Linux's own GPLv2 license, because they call it a "trade secret" which it isn't. They also have proprietary drivers of their own for

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu 2/? obituary on their blog. This emulator needs 64 bit processors (this means ARMv8) to run anything anywhere close to properly. Then you factor in the GLES issues and the stupendous amount of driver bugs and issues, which vary from version to version and vendor to vendor. On top
English

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu They can't.
ARMv5 and ARMv6 are way out of date, and literally none of them is fast to even *hope* to get a massively hacked Dolphin to run at even a fraction of fullspeed.
ARMv7 was killed off plenty of time ago for a lot of reasons, all of which you can see in the 32-bit 1/?
English

@TommyKomang @Dolphin_Emu Can't fix broken hardware with software. Get a better phone.
English

@ScottHech If you want things to get lethal, then this is where it starts.
Add a few more "arrests" like this and you'll start seeing dead ICE officers, and lots of them.
I hope the reader doesn't have to be the first one to pull the trigger.
