Yesterday, the Board of Supervisors approved First 5’s plan to move ahead with distributing Measure C funds to expand access to child care in our community. First 5 is now accepting applications for grants to child care providers. Visit first5alameda.org to learn more!

On International Migrants Day, First 5 Alameda stands with migrant families to uphold their rights. In Alameda County, diversity is our strength. Respecting the migrants & refugees within our community is critical to raising young children to become global citizens.

Today we recognize the Chochenyo and Thámien Ohlone peoples, including the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe and the Confederated Villages of Lisjan, as the original stewards of the land now known as Alameda County. We celebrate Native culture and contributions today and always.
