Instead of giving the fitness industry a running start on re-opening @cityoftoronto launches #ParkFitTo w free outdoor classes after shutting down our same services for 16mo. How can we expect to cross the finish line when our own gov won’t give us a chance to even compete?

Moving from a case based model, to a vax % model puts our industry at 0.0 percent survival. The rate of transmission is 0.1 percent outdoors. So opening basketball courts, a full contact sport, without allowing outdoor fitness is based on 0.0 percent logic. #makeitmakesense

The Welcome TO Winter Parks plan’s a slap in the face to our small businesses. The hypocrisy to get ppl outside exercising for physical + mental health, while quietly updating restrictions to prohibit outdoor fit classes is unpalatable. @JohnTory cont’ to work against not with us

“It’s not fair”?! @fordnation Our small businesses are left deciding how much inconceivable debt they’re willing to live with now or later. The choice between holding your breath or trying to breathe underwater. Without air or a lifeline, our Main St will be left lifeless.

Our govt’s lack of care + competency to save our small businesses is intolerable. How many more sleepless nights must we endure while big box retailers operate at full capacity b/c anything less would be “a logistical nightmare for them”. Guess what. This IS our nightmare.
