Idag röstar riksdagen om Sverigedemokraternas och regeringens lagförslag om att bristande vandel, det vill säga levnadssätt, i ökad utsträckning ska kunna leda till återkallelse av uppehållstillstånd. Man ska alltså kunna bli utvisad för att man helt enkelt inte sköter sig, även om gärningarna i sig kanske inte är olagliga eller leder till utvisning på grund av brott. Vandel kan i det här sammanhanget avse flera olika saker, till exempel att man inte betalar skulder, organiserar tiggeri, regelbundet bryter mot regler eller har ett asocialt beteende med ordningsstörningar. Med de här förslagen får vi ökade möjligheter att utvisa personer som utgör ett hot mot allmän ordning eller säkerhet, som har dömts för brott eller som på annat sätt har brustit i sin vandel. Det innebär att även gängkriminella, även om de inte är dömda, kan utvisas, och att fler av dem som befinner sig i Sverige med uppehållstillstånd kan bli av med dessa. Lagändringarna föreslås träda i kraft den 13 juli 2026.
