Sunday Evening Ops Update What a day. Emergency Snow Shovelers will be working tomorrow, Monday, to help clear snow from public areas like bus stops, crosswalks and fire hydrants, and step streets. EVERY street has been plowed. But it's still snowing and we will be continuing our work salting and plowing streets through the night in to tomorrow. Property owners - you are responsible for cleaning your sidewalks. DO NOT push snow in to the street or bike lanes. Snow can be piled against the building or at the curbline. Collection - Snow operations take priority now. While it's ok to put your material at the curb following your normal schedule, understand that collection will be delayed during snow operations. We will get back to collection as soon as snow operations allow.

Friday Evening Snow Ops Update: As predicted, it's snowing. Our salt spreaders are out. Our plows are out. See where they have already been at nyc.gov/PlowNYC. Remember, treated streets won't show blacktop, *especially* when it's still snowing! We will continue using salt spreaders & plows all night, and for the duration of the storm. While you may place trash, compost and recycling at the curb according to your normal schedule, we are in snow mode now. Collection will resume when snow operations allow. That means you should expect delays - the same Workers who pick up the trash are also the ones plowing streets now. Our Special Waste sites will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 27.

There's NO pickup Thurs., Dec. 25, Christmas Day. If that’s your normal trash/compost/recycling day, set items out Thurs. evening for pickup starting Fri., Dec. 26. Delays may occur after holidays; we will get the job done. More here: on.nyc.gov/3L0ASd5

The @FlushingBID had one of its most successful toy drives yet, collecting nearly 1,500 items for nonprofits and community organizations. On Friday in Tangram, we distributed some of the toys to lucky kids and took pictures with Santa to celebrate!
