So this one, came super easy. We wanted a follow up, so we just made one. If you know the lore, this should have been Branded by the Serpents, but it just didn't flow right with the lyrics. As with the last one, this was a collab with @LunaKhet

I've been a bit off about doing these, it's because I've been sick. Today we have Marked by the Sepents.

@LunaKhet This was tons of fun to work on, and there were no actual hitches, aside from three or four nights of insomnia working on it. The minimalistic composition really complimented her vocals.

So It was 4am when I had an idea and I messaged @LunaKhet and asked, "What if we did a song about the Final Fantasy 11 Blue Mage?" Her answer was a resounding, "Who are you and how did you get in my house?" Several police reports later, we had The Mark of Zahak.

Personally, I wasn't 100% sure about the finished song either until I heard how well if fits the album. I think it's a great introduction to the character, and hints at something else wrong with the universe.

These two songs set up our world, the base to build on. It's a bleak time between the end of one world and the beginning of another. Everything is in a constant state of tumult and there's opportunity for new Gods to rise.

I guess we can start at the beggining with the comentary.
