This three-minute video illustrates several things relevant to the drone flap. First, after 2 seconds, we see an orb of light appear behind the tree. At first, it seems to be hardly moving. It can't be a plane, right? Too low. Too slow. No navigation lights. Right? The orb continues to rise for two minutes, speeding up until finally, at 2:45, the plane (recently departed from Sacramento) switches off its (very bright) landing lights, and we see it for what it is. Except, if you think maybe it's a drone, you can trick your mind into thinking it's just a tiny drone hovering over the tree. But no, it's a plane. Always has been.

OK, @LRpolice, this is nuts. Two of my coworkers saw a car hit a car that was parked on the street by the @ArkBusiness office downtown and drive away. One got the license plate # and the other called to report the crime. After a long hold... 1/2

@gildner Which grades were the most boring? For me it was elementary school and most of junior high.

School isn't structured with appropriate rewards. The difference between getting an A or D is intangible, and really only rewards students who crave the approval of others. Students who value other things (creativity or exploration or money or adrenaline) are left bored.
