Just now on the Senate floor:
Senator Moreno (R-OH) just tried to pass a bill funding DHS (all of it) for 2 weeks to allow workers to get back pay now and fund the agency while negotiations continue. Sen Slotkin (D-MI) objected.
THEN... Sen Slotkin (D-MI) tried to pass a bill to just fund TSA and pay TSA workers. Sen Moreno objected.

Yet another attack on Ohioans by Ramaswamy’s running mate, @Rob_McColley, and out-of-touch Statehouse politicians.
Breweries across Ohio will pay the price in lost jobs and investments. They’re hours away from losing major sources of revenue all while other states allow adults to make their own decisions.
C’mon Rob and Vivek. Let Ohio adults make their own decisions. Stop the attack on Ohio small businesses.

This ban is an out-of-touch overreach from our Statehouse that threatens jobs, small businesses, farmers, and local breweries. @ForwardFalcon Every Ohio public university is in the red except one. I'm in Lakewood; commuter distance to 9 colleges. CSU, BW, CWR, JCU, Kent, Akron, Askland, Mount Union and Oberlin. Many of these schools are struggling financially including all the public ones and BW. @ClevelandScene

Seems a bit odd since the Pentagon published a memo with changes to the newspaper, including content overhaul. Likely Republican—-> Leans Republican
Crystal Ball: Looming uncomfortably over the race is the possibility that Ramaswamy might face some sort of racist electoral penalty for being an Indian-American candidate in a whiter-than-average state, something that comes up when we discuss this election with sources.
One wild card for the November election is whether Ramaswamy loses any votes on his right to Libertarian Don Kissick, who is running for governor and who got nearly 3.5% of the vote as a Libertarian in the 2024 Senate election.

The Afroman Trial.
-Cops raid Afromans house for bullshit reasons.
-Steal money, break his door, fuck his house up.
-No criminality found whatsoever, no charges at all pressed on Afroman.
-Afroman spends the next 3 years making songs that make fun of all the officers involved by name, even using footage of the raid from his own CCTV cameras.
-Songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch" and "Lick Em Low Lisa" accusing one of the officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers wives.
-During the raid one officer looked like he was about to eat some lemon pound cake sitting on Afromans counter, Afroman made a whole album calling the officer fat.
-The cops get mad and file a lawsuit for defamation.
-Afroman turns up to court in a whole American flag suit.
-Officers performatively mald and cry while listening to the songs really trying to oversell how badly the songs upset them.
-One officer was suing because Afroman made a whole song about him saying he was fucking the officers wife. When the officer was asked if Afroman was really fucking his wife, he said "I don't know". Nuking his own case and establishing that there is a non-zero chance that Afroman might actually be fucking his wife.
-As his only witness for the trial, Afroman brought a deputies EX FUCKING WIFE.
-The jury ruled completely in favour of Afroman.
This entire thing has been a great win for free speech and absolutely fucking hilarious.
