@ThorLawyer Biggest crime is still only a 20 launch roster in a 4v4 game. Could’ve done 32 launch (since it’s divisible by four) had a defenders team, put Hulk with them and put Thor in the avengers slot. And had a way more diverse roster

Like guys...screwy ranking system aside, Stephen's intelligence is often ignored in a "who's the smartest in Marvel" convo, and it shouldn't be. Not only was he the best neurosurgeon alive, but he knows an insane amount of magic, history, languages, and understands true reality.

@MysticalMe337 @Foxos777 To be honest, I think that story is a bit contradictory, since it was also said it twice that Dormammu could beat/challenge the Celestials as well.

Overall, I'd say Chthon is higher, since he's an Elder God and Dormammu is more around Skyfather level. However, Dormammu has been consistently conquering and engaging in combat for ages, while Chthon was chilling. So Chthon is stronger, but Dormy could possibly secure a victory

@House0fWanda Do agree that Chton is higher but don’t think Dorm is as low as people treat him. He captured Gaea back in the day and has 3v1’d the Vishanti in skirmishes so he can defo effect elder gods. And he was weakened when Wanda used the Darkhold on him. I do got Cthon over Oshtur though

With the release of Sorcerer Supreme #5, where do y'all rank Dormammu: Above or below Chthon? I feel like Chthon is higher based on statements and hierarchy (Dormammu even invoked him once), but I’m not sure

@AlexDaw90273302 @616stephenvs The X-men team and their dynamics with eachother are pretty good like it’s had good character moments. Like Magik and juggernauts bromance. But when you get to the villains and plot of the run it basically just becomes a big “eh”

@arakkosuperstar It's exhausting, cause almost every interview with a writer or editor about Doctor Strange for the past 20 years has been some version of "well it's too undefined" "he doesn't have limits" "break him down". Like...no. Half the fun is the weird mystical craziness!!!!

again, a lot you fantasy fans study magic systems in terms of mechanics for the sake of powerscaling instead of for how they help writers tell the story, which is why they think magic needs limits for “balance” or some shit like this is a video game and it’s so fucking annoying
