.@BellatrixInves1 Launches US$10 Million Regional Seed Fund Bellatrix Investment Managers launched the Njaba Seed Fund in Windhoek yesterday evening. The fund will provide US$10 million in funding for up to 50 businesses in Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, and Angola. "The introduction of a venture capital fund is a big deal, especially for small-scale entrepreneurs with hopes and dreams to scale their businesses," said Namibia Savings and Investment Association (NaSIA) CEO Josephat Mwatotele. Bellatrix Investment Managers Managing Director, Jesaya Hano-Oshike, explained that the fund will not only provide funding to local entrepreneurs, but will also provide mentorship and co-financing with the Basecamp Business Incubator and the Namibia Business Angel Network. The fund will invest in businesses in fin-tech, agriculture, healthcare, cleantech, education, and Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. "At the end of the day, we want to create jobs," Hano-Oshike said at the launch.
