@CamDonDuncan Yeah, the Wigan vs Saints one would be hard to drop now. It’s been the big sky double header with our Derby for years now! Wigan vs Leigh should be made a lot bigger now though!

@FraserBeecroft Just not our main derby is it. Wigan v Saints IS the fixture. It’s synonymous with Good Friday and Boxing Day historically. I do think Wigan v Leigh could have its own slot in the calendar… Season opener every year August bank holiday every year I think that would be great

The sport needs to be better at selling this narrative around the best and most unique sporting rivalry in the world. The only head to head fixture given the name Derby. A rivalry based on home grown talent (a rarity in UK sport). There is literally no other fixture like it.

The next BBC Super League match on BBC 2 is scheduled on Saturday June 6th. Wakefield v Hull KR is scheduled at 5.30pm, madly clashing with Catalans v Wigan (6.30pm uk) in Paris, which is baffling.

@FraserBeecroft @PhilB1985 it’s ridiculous isn’t it, it was Whitbread to score that actually bumped up the odds a lot i’m not sure why it made it so high but with the way both teams were playing it was inevitable for a couple of forwards to get over the line at some point in the 2nd half👌

That must be the most underpriced bet ever 🤣
