AWT 2025-2026 Reflection (1/?) I notice that this post is getting a spot of attention lol. I apologise for the obnoxious, self-indulgent talk around this time. It came from a place of frustration that I did not have opportunities to improve or prove myself due to something out of my control (being born in Australia). For those who don't know why it's so difficult to compete from here, I'll go over it one last time. We are completely isolated. We have a very small amount of players and no, we cannot connect to Japan online. Every time that you see me on ranked, that is me dedicating time to practise while I am staying overseas for tournaments. During these periods, I cram as much practise and matchup knowledge into my head as I can. This practise period for AWTF was my longest, lasting for 2 weeks. Is it realistic to master every matchup during this time? Of course not. I just manage my time as best as I can. "Why not just practise with other Australian players?". In recent years, we have only had about 6 undeniably world class players in my opinion. And none of these players used META characters like HC. Also, most of these players either do not play anymore or only hop on for fun. Nobody is grinding the game like I have been. This matchup inconsistency is the reason my gameplay may look clean during one minute, then look as if I started playing the game yesterday the next. To be 100% clear, I am not insulting anyone. Nobody is at fault, and im not saying that our players don't have talent. It is all purely a product of being an isolated scene. So, this was the source of my frustration. I had a keen insight into I-No, knew it had potential and that I could improve a lot. I had something to prove. Of course, Daru and Kshue are still better I-No's than me. I don't think otherwise and outshining them wasn't my goal. My goal was to prove that I am an I-No player to be reckoned with and that the statement "all I-No players suck except Daru" is not true. The bragging that you saw me do in the past was me saying "Hey, I'm here! Give me a chance!". With this AWT, I think that I have finally proved what I wanted to prove. #GGST_IN #GGST #GuiltyGearStrive #AWT2025 #AWT

@Fishy80957512 i think a lot of people don’t know very much about i-no and so don’t understand the decision making that goes into certain options/how that might differ from player to player. it’s not necessarily their fault, but it does sound a bit frustrating to be the subject of lol

I'm going to be entirely honest. People comparing me to daru don't actually watch me. I haven't watched a daru vod in like the last 4 months. My style and everything dealing with sstroke definitely didn't come from daru. I'm sorry to break ppl's uneducated minds

It’s so crazy how H stroke is still -2 after all this time but every other reaction checks are still plus and people still say that those reaction checks are “bad”

3 TNS TOP 8 IN A ROW!!!!! Sometimes I can't believe how cracked I am in this game(getting a good bracket path is a skill). Won against Reddittto (someone I've always struggled closing it out), and went game 5 against Jack (upsetting, but I'll get my chance again).

Can someone explain to me what the difference between dying in a moba and waiting 30+ seconds to respawn and being in a combo for half that time? Why is the moba one ok, and the fighting game one always said to make players feel icky and therefore it must change?

@JunoSisqo and then during its peak if it ever actually hit you then you lost the game. for setplay chars who were constantly repeating interactions you would literally get outcompeted on meter by defenders sending dp on 80% of wakeups cause you did super wallbreak for 0 dmg

@JunoSisqo it was not fine for low dmg chars you had to constantly hard bait dp on your offense to stop yourself from getting 50/50’d on block, and then you tickle leo’s balls to wallbreak him and just build him meter for another dp rc. and then you bait it and he doesn’t spend the meter

Hot take but DP RC was fine as is, and shouldn't have been removed
