@lolimhereforkek @the_shadow_lmao Ron Smith, “Cis” is a term that describes you. it’s not some new thing. It’s like saying “i don’t have blonde hair, i just have hair.” If you aren’t cis, you’re trans. If you aren’t neurodivergent, you’re neurotypical. they’re just labels.

@ocksie @ussuriii yeah this is very true. the whole aura of the video feels very exclusionary and needs to have been done better. i’m gonna take the video in good faith and say that the poster was probably just ignorant to some terms being kinda rude.

@ussuriii being trans exclusionary is inherently transphobic and you can still be transphobic while having good intentions, highlighting only c1s women is certainly doable but it’s a touchy subject and using a term like “biological women” doesn’t help

We need to stop normalizing tossing the term “transphobic” around so loosely in this community. The intent of this video was not to harm the trans community, it was just meant to highlight the accomplishments of c1s women, which is genuinely appreciated tbh.

@ussuriii should also add that saying “biological women” is a bit iffy imo, i think OP should have said cis and not biological

@ussuriii my take on this is that it’s not necessarily transphobic on its own, but specifying its cis women in the title would have been nice. overall it’s a bit of a dumb thing to start drama over considering the OP of the video said they are willing to do one for trans women too.
