This is always such a fun way of writing a new draft! I managed to get a very messy draft done about a beach holiday (no coincidence that I am currently at the seaside!). Happy writing everyone!

@PaulaJBoon I'm glad those books became a gateway! I'm still having trouble getting 11 to read novels, but audio books are inhaled. I'm ok with that because of how many cook books and other animal fact books are consumed. Everyone has their niche.

@FuneverWriting My son became hooked on reading in Grade 1 by an index/handbook that listed hundreds of Pokemon, their powers, how they evolved, etc. Before that, he didn't read on his own for pleasure. After gaining skill and pleasure from being immersed in it, he dove right into chapter books.

THIS! 11's a reluctant reader. Our Y had some veggies out. 11 asked for parsnips. That night we had them with cream sauce entirely made by 11. I asked where the idea came from. A magazine used for a state project in 4th grade. For 11 recipes excites. Help kids find their passion!

Idk who has it out for me on awards day/last day of school! 2 years ago I got a flat on the way to school. Today I decided to get 11 something nice because it's been a tough year. And sitting the the parking lot, the van wouldn't start! Somehow the battery cable came loose.

I got contacted by a local play place in my area to conduct a storytime activity for "Tall as the Sun". I am so excited. It's one of the first times someone has reached out first to plan an event with me. Feels nice to be thought of.

What made me mad was 11's teacher in 4th grade wouldn't let recipe books be read during free reading time. To this day idk why. There's math, new vocabulary, logical progression, and so much more!

@AmazonHelp Not only that, but now I have to jump through one more step and read your mind on whether it will or wont be sent in a package and click another box (I am already having to click to not use my gift card every time). It's annoying and unnecessary, especially around holidays.

@AmazonHelp And as far as my issues, the metal signs were not shipped safely (multiple times bent). And clearly based on the original post reducing packaging is only something you put on the site and don't actually practice.

A tale of @amazon fulfillment services told in pictures... I placed a large order for auther copies of my books for some upcoming live events. I recently switched from draft2digital to Amazon for this purpose so this is my first large order of these author copies. First: 19 books came in individual bubble mailers of various size the rest in boxes. The bubble mailers likely fared the best because the boxes were a disaster. One box was packed with some dunage BUT whoever packed them must have just haphazardly shoved them in because two in that box had covers bent. The third box had no dunage, and was too big so the book inside were just sloshed around and have damaged corners and scuffs. One box was packed well, and the books inside perfect and thank God for that. Now let's talk print quality the last image is the cover from draft2digital vs. Amazon. D2D has richer color and more clarity. The colors of the Amazon covers are muted and lower quality overall. Overall I am very disappointed. So much so that I think form this point forward I will be ordering my books from Ingram who for all its usability faults, actually knows how to pack and ship books.

Well, before 8am I sliced my leg nicely and got some really weird thick oil from the outside trash can the truck must have left on last week that Dawn isnt even touching. Today is squaring up great. 🤣

Idk if anyone else has this problem, but just in case. We talked with 11 about why some kids in class started being really mean. Part of the conversation was that for some kids its easier to break ties than to go into the summer missing friends. Esp. if summer may be difficult.
