I’ve done tons of therapy, have a happy (though stressful) life, and have cut out toxic people, and have good relationships. But despite a lot of success I don’t always feel a wide range of feelings. It’s mostly a narrow band of a feeling “determined”? Stressed but not powerless Hopeful but not blissful When I was younger I used to get these wild swings of the highest highs and the lowest lows. Now I feel very balanced but it seems like it’s at the cost of losing that sense of wonder that I used to have when the world was an oyster and there were infinite opportunities. Now, I have even more opportunities than ever and but I don’t have a fraction of the excitement that I used to. Maybe it’s stress? The fact that it feels like I’m never doing enough, never creating enough? Or is it because I stopped making “art” to launch a successful agency and I’m languishing away in sales calls. Or maybe it’s too much pressure from always feeling like I have to perform on this platform. I’m trying to learn to be a little more playful and vulnerable on X. Do posts like this are a first shot at sharing something outside of film stuff 🤷🏻 Would love to hear if anyone else feels this way too.

Why is it harder to feel things as you get older? I used to haves so many feelings in my 20s and now I just feel things a few times a week in my 30s. How do you get them back?
