The @Gleaners Shared Harvest Pantry in Howell serves community members with emergency food. David Seibert trains new volunteers and supports the pantry's day to day operations. His commitment to treating every person with respect and passion for helping people are contagious:

Fred Guttman is truly one of our shining stars at @Gleaners. At 160 volunteer hours since last September alone, the time that he has spent at Gleaners has directly led to ending hunger for tens of thousands of people. We couldn't do it without him, so let's hear it for Fred!

Rick Loewenstein is a longtime friend and served as @Gleaners president from 1999 to 2002. He has made a tremendous impact, in part by spearheading the campaign to build our current distribution center. Meet Rick, who discusses the past, present, and future of ending hunger:

Former @Gleaners board member @VictorAGreen is Director of Community Relations at @waynestate and has a "can do" attitude in the fight against hunger. Victor tells us about Canstruction at Wayne State, which has raised over $33,000 and brought in almost 170,000 lbs of food!

Mike & Adele Acheson are two of @Gleaners most dedicated supporters and have been involved since before my time at Gleaners. With the Achesons behind us, we've grown by increasing pounds of food distributed to pantries & expanding our footprint to reach more food-insecure people:

People with chronic illness often have special food needs that can be difficult to manage in a food-insecure household. @Gleaners Healthy Food Home Delivery brings groceries straight to those with special food needs, and empowers recipients with the opportunity to cook:

For low-income seniors and veterans with mobility issues, getting to the grocery store can be cumbersome, expensive, and even dangerous. @Gleaners My Neighborhood Mobile Grocery brings a pop-up market to seniors and vets where they live. Meet Erika and Lou from MNMG:

At @Gleaners we got request after request for fresh milk, so we worked to increase our milk distribution from 0 to 8 truckloads (or 34,000 gallons) a month. Lawrence Seay tells us how this amazing innovation started from a conversation:
