@katemacrae I think I would remove the cat, would not want it to mistakenly feel safe when near one.

@ColytonWildlife May I ask what your camera settings were? Did you use any filters? What lens did you use?

Ever get that sinking feeling? I’ve so much fun in my kayak. I’m continuously curious about what’s possible & what’s around the corner. I’m eternally curious about my abilities too. It’s simply not just a kayaking journey. There are many layers to my minute by minute experiences.

A pair of Dippers on the Little Avon. Hopefully they don’t nest in this drainage hole. Could get a bit damp during British spring time.

Dipper from the Little Avon. Amazing to hear it singing over the hum of the M5. I normally don’t like photographing rung birds but having one of this pair rung is helping me establish who’s who and the roles they play. I would suggest this is a male.

@jfmto I had a good look around at around 01:00am with my bins, looked nice and dark making the stars clearer but never saw the moon!! Perhaps it was on the east side of the house when I was facing west :-)

It just took me about half an hour to do a 10 min journey but it was worth it because I got to meet this WONDERFUL warty being and avoided squashing hundreds of others. Toads, what did we do to deserve them?!

St Arilda Church, Cowhill, Oldbury-on-Severn. This is a lovely little Church, with fantastic views, I was shocked to learn yesterday how close it got to actually getting caught by a wild fire on Sunday 14th Aug, never had my camera so went back today.

@john_cantelo I wonder when a rare bird is spotted, how much of a carbon footprint it creates by people travelling great distances to see it.

Good luck to those that do/have but strangely enough, I don't feel the slightest inclination to jump into my car and drive for a couple of hours to see a Cape Gull in the UK. Am I alone in this?

@ColdwellRocks Great to see you both out and about again, a change of scenery would have done you both a lot of good. Dare I ask, where in the severn were you?

@MartinHGames @BBC_Springwatch I always enjoy it and hope the producers of other wildlife programmes take note that we do not need loud music on when watching nature on the telly. So often over used, too loud and you cannot hear the animals they are showing. Mindfulness is wonderful.

Caught up with @BBC_Springwatch last night. What a great show! I worried it was so late wld b no nests but lapwing, swallow, amazing kestrel and especially delightfully hideous herons! Chris and Mic so warm. A cornucopia of wild delights. Love it
