Background on the Swalwell Matter The documents relate to Swalwell’s past interactions (around 2012–2015) with Christine Fang (also known as “Fang Fang”), a suspected Chinese intelligence operative who cultivated relationships with several U.S. politicians, including Swalwell when he was a local official and then a congressional candidate. Fang reportedly helped with fundraising and placed interns; she had romantic/sexual relationships with at least two other Midwest mayors. The FBI briefed Swalwell on concerns about her in 2015; he says he immediately cut off contact. Swalwell was never charged with any wrongdoing, and a House Ethics Committee review closed without action. FBI Director Kash Patel recently directed agents to review, redact, and prepare these old files for possible release or sharing with senior officials, which Swalwell’s lawyers called a politically motivated smear (especially as he runs for California governor). They sent a cease-and-desist letter threatening legal action. The Daily Mail source claimed Bondi was “intervening in those matters” due to a personal friendship with Swalwell, displeasing the White House. Trump reportedly viewed this as disloyalty. This was not the only reason cited. Reports across outlets (Daily Mail, AP, NYT, Washington Post, ABC, CNN) indicate broader frustration with Bondi, including: Mishandling of Jeffrey Epstein files — Backlash from MAGA supporters over perceived delays, incomplete releases, or “cover-up” vibes, plus contentious congressional hearings where she clashed with Democrats. General dissatisfaction that the DOJ under her wasn’t aggressively enough targeting Trump’s political opponents or delivering on other priorities. Internal tensions leading to her reportedly begging Trump not to fire her in a heated meeting. Trump has discussed replacements like EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin or Deputy AG Todd Blanche (now acting AG). Bondi had already fired numerous officials tied to prior investigations (e.g., Jack Smith team, Jan. 6 prosecutors). The Swalwell angle adds a layer of personal/political betrayal in Trump’s eyes, given his long-running feud with Swalwell (who impeached him and is a frequent critic).

What an unpleasant experience flying @Delta every single one of your crew members was extremely rude and disrespectful, especially this little meatball that screamed at the couple behind me over their 5lb puppy being in the middle of both of them. “This is the last time I’ll tell you!!! Put the dog on top of you”— we all looked up and behind us wondering why he was so upset. I’m frequently disappointed in politicians but Tom Massie defied the odds in my unfortunate experiences with him, as he surpassed my lowest expectations. This zero pretends to be a principled defender of liberty but, in the real world, he supports third-world tyranny. Here are the receipts from a phone call I had with this zero offering him a briefing on multiple investigations he was inserting himself into by publicly commenting on them. Rather than affording the subjects of the cases their constitutional Right to due process, Massie chose to waive off the briefing and litigate it on X for clicks. Notice I tried to call him back but he wasn’t interested in facts. It’s also of note that I never heard a single word from Massie during the process we engaged in to release the Epstein case docs. This process played out in media everywhere and yet Massie never reached out. Not once. It’s almost as if he wants to be a moron. As if ignorance is bliss for him. I’m horrified I once believed this guy was authentic.

President Trump with all due respect, this is what you get when those around you do not pursue accountability or support the full use of your constitutional, presidential power. You should not be in this position at this point in your administration. A year & a half without any accountability for ‘treason & sedition’ is a sure path to empowering your enemies who are the enemy of every decent person in this country. This woman and her co-conspirators should be behind bars for what they have done to the Office of the Pres & the American people. Quite frankly, we are sick to death of the failure to figure out how to hold these people to account, the failure to deal effectively with a corrupt judiciary, cowardly prosecutors & deep state operatives & the failure to enforce the platform/promises you ran on which you intentionally turned into Executive Orders that the people around you have failed to implement. You are not being well served. The American people voted for you because you mean what you say - you always have. Your intention to honor your word was laid bare in your actions - so why have these things not been done? Not a single arrest for the greatest treasonous conspiracy in the history of this country. Not one. And now they are set to steal the midterms & come after you & yours with a vengeance unlike anything this nation has ever seen. God help us all.
