A pitiful 3hrs sleep between night shifts, but woke up to find I had been offered the Vascular ACF post in the NE! Looking forward to working with @SandipNandhra and team over the next few years!

@andrewhallortho Im under no illusion my GMC fees will not be catapulted from £166 to £433 (effective from April 2023) after 5 years of practice

@G__Halliday But we are told not to compare our pay to the self-employed (e.g. plumbers, electricians) because “they have overheads” (p.s. you will be paying the GMC several hundreds more when you enter the next years of your career)

This year my compulsory costs of being a doctor: £48 - medical defence union £166 - licence to practice £260 - online portfolio £578 - examination £650 and £750 - course fees I believe these strikes are to save our profession because, in my opinion, this is unsustainable.

So the end of ACCS CT2 was a whirlwind as I finished nights on change over but I’m settling into the new work place’s good vibes. Need to stay positive and focused. The primary is looming… Photo from the last placement - do I look like an anaesthetist??

Finished Fountaion Year training on an incredible high in ENT surgery. Grateful to everyone who has inspired, taught and encouraged me throughout. Tomorrow I start Core Surgical training! I’m so excited to train within surgery and start tailoring my training further.
