The way the family of season ticket holders behind me at Selhurst slate players for not pinging a 75 yard cross field pass to somebody in about 1.5m of space makes me think that they think they’re levels above. Plenty of football fans are deluded.

It does feel like fans and players in this country are judged for enjoying themselves WAY more than they are in the rest of Europe or South America. Any club in England does this after a group stage win and this place would be full of people calling it pathetic and tinpot.
