@sarah_aslannnn 1:1 consultant teaching on a daily basis, sleep (in a bed) on night shifts, occasional early finishes, brilliant collaborative working with colleagues. It feels very much like the promised land.

Rotated to do some more anaesthetics & I’m out by 4pm on a Friday. I can see why you all defect 😂

My work is changing to ORBIS from @DedalusUKI for anaesthesia and I’m wondering if anybody who uses an EHR system to record regional anaesthesia has any advice about a good interface (easily auditable)? #RegionalAnaesthesia #RegionalAnesthesia

@AbbieTBee @oli_m_sims I feel like your gen surg rotation allowed for a lot of theatre time (albeit you chose the anaesthesia side)

@DrMattThomas1 I wouldn’t be too concerned about deskilling because these 2 specialities often have patients who require ITU input. Review sick patients on medical take and work in resus where possible. Also really useful to learn what those teams are capable of managing without ITU.

Re: the Lucy Letby case. Like nearly everyone else, I’ve not seen much (any) of the evidence to reach a conclusion. But there is interesting psychology around all the ppl defending her. Is it they struggle with a female killer of babies? What if it were a male nurse? Thoughts?

I’ll be there tomorrow. 2 of my friends passed exams before me and delayed their Diplomates Day so we could celebrate together. Very much looking forward to seeing them
