You come online you see everyone posting Wins, the TPs, the impressive RRs, the PNL screenshots and everything and you pressure yourself to replicate such despite the fact that you are encountering drowdown and loosing streaks and you probably at the phase your system is telling you to slow down or do nothing. But because of FOMO, you neglect your trading system, just to be among, you start taking random trades that doesn’t fit your system just to come online and post your wins too… and we all know what that usually end to; actually that leads to over trading, over leveraging, emotional trades and huge drowdown or capital lost. Look I was once like that years ago. But then reality checks got to me, i learned the hard way that all the glitters i see online are not diamonds, those wins and screenshots behind them are losses and series of losses , but people online only post their wins , that’s how social media is, they post what they want you to see, they also take the hit and the blow, but they show you the successful trades. And for you, instead of you to keep on following your system, trading plan and doing what you out to, you want to compete and you endanger your account even more . Lesson here is, learn to have solid rules to only follow your system , to only trade if your system says so, to trade for the process not for social media validation. This week I saw an everyone winning, TPs everywhere, but trading for 8.5 years now has given me the experience to not care about what others are doing, but to care about my own way. Had 2 loses -2% 1 breakeven, 1 missing trade and 1 win +4%, just doing my thing and observing proper risk management, the drowdown period didn’t shake me not all, so patience for the right money, and when it came I risked accordingly and grab decent return on the idea on eurusd. Learn to not get pressure by whatever you see online and you’ll be a beast trader . Also learn to not subscribe to social media validation, more numbers in your wallet are way better than more numbers in your followeship
