Chennai Metro Rail was preparing to open this stretch, first in Dec which was then postponed to Feb. It is to be noted Poonamallee-Porur stretch got final safety clearance from Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety approving it is fit for ops. It is likely to be opened in June now
