Don Schlitz is now writing songs in #Heaven but his passing has left a void here that can never be filled. He has been an inspiration to me and other #songwriters and blessing to all that have heard his incredible music. Thank you Don! You live on in Paradise and in your songs!

One month ago, my life changed forever. I became a dad. These have been four beautiful, sleepless, chaotic weeks. But no matter how overwhelmed I felt, each time my little girl fell asleep in my arms, everything melted away and a wave of a new kind of happiness washed over me. I admit I was nervous before Violet was born. I was about to be dad, and I'd never been a dad before. But then I remembered something: I was nervous because I was about to handle something new—something that mattered. The truth is we're often nervous about the things that have the power to transform us the most. The nerves aren’t a sign that you're not ready; they’re a sign that you care enough to grow. I've started to do local keynotes again, and it's absolutely magical to look out at the crowd with a new perspective. It's only been four weeks. I’ve already experienced a whole lot of growth and I look forward to a lifetime more. At the end of the day, Violet changed how I connect both on and off stage. I’m back on the road in September, bringing more presence and honest moments. It feels like the start of a new chapter. I can’t wait to see you out there.

There are many reasons we moved to Tennessee. Yesterday we got another. The surprise b-day #corvette I gave to Nedra in 2014 was stolen off our California driveway. We left it out just 1 night while cleaning the garage for the FINAL phase of the move to TN. #PrayingForTheThieves

@CharlesEsten Without a doubt #Nashville . It was enough of an influence (in addition to a dying friend's advice) that we not only visited Nashville but we moved to Nashville! That is pretty powerful for a TV show!!!! Oh...BTW...the other 3 shows are pretty good as well!!!
