Last week we went on to the school playground to look at the layout, we then watched Ms Whitley drawing her own map of the playground using Google Earth to help. Yesterday, we drew our own maps including as much detail as possible 🗺️ ✏️ #EYFS #FieldworkFortnight

Geography - we have been learning about cities and counties of the UK. We used maps and atlases to find our counties and our neighbouring counties 🗺️📍🇬🇧

Geography - we explored using an 8-point compass on the yard in teams 🧭

Geography As part of #fieldworkfortnight we visited an area of awe and wonder in our local area. @Year3_Bedford were certainly full of #aweandwonder as we went through the tunnel on a coach and explored Liverpool @World_Museum 🗺️🤩

Geography @GeographyBDPS1 Y3 children chose a country they would like to visit, researched it and made a tourist leaflet. They’ve worked hard today finding out things like humans and physical landmarks, population, climate, cuisine and currency

Year 5 had a real buzz of excitement this afternoon….we carried out a ‘speed date’ type activity to help us learn information about the different biomes in the world. We now know lots of facts! @GeographyBDPS1

Today in Geography we started our new topic of communities and traditions in other parts of the world. We began by looking at places where people live and the different types of homes they live in 🏠 🛥 🏘🏢 #UW

Ancient Egypt @Year3_Bedford started their new @history2bedford unit of work today. Children used their @GeographyBDPS1 skills to locate Egypt and the River Nile using an atlas and then looked at pictures to discuss what life might have been like.

@GeographyBDPS1 On our way back from our Church visit last week, we posted letters in the postbox! The children had learnt about where they live and their address. Did you receive a letter from the postman?

Year 5 enjoyed their @GeographyBDPS1 idled trip this week, conducting a traffic study around school to see the main causes of pollution. We will turn our results in to a graph next week and discuss our findings. #geography #fieldtrip #localarea

Geography- we located the Uk on maps and globes today. Then we learnt that the Uk is in Europe. The children loved using Google Earth, maps and looking in an atlas too! @DriveGeography

Key Stage 2 joined a live Remembrance lesson with @Literacy_Trust before we joined together as a whole school to pay our respects and listen to 'The Last post' being played on the bugle. @history2bedford @CulturalCurric1
