Wouldn’t it be good if exit interviews for people leaving the #NHS were done by people independent of the hierarchy to learn what would retain them ?

We all need to work together within our training programmes to ensure that comprehensive, equitable training is offered to all our future orthopaedic consultants.  We owe this to our specialty and, most importantly, our patients. 6/6

GOAST has now been published! Back in 2021, we set out to find out if there is a difference in the number of surgical cases female trainees do compared to males during their specialty training. The results were surprising… 1/6

4.From ST6-ST8, trainees are lead surgeon on 75% of all cases they are involved in 5.Male trainees are lead surgeon on 3% more cases than females, equating to an estimated difference of 54-61 cases over the five-year training programme @GoastOrtho @Ortho_Cherry @OrthoWomen

Thank you everyone who attended the @bota_uk session at the @BritOrthopaedic Congress last week. As you can see from our key slides preliminary national results show overall excellent results! Interesting is STU/P/T difference at middle grade level, though!
